Arts Commission, City of Normandy Park I am an Arts Commissioner in Normandy Park, WA, appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The Commission represents the City’s interest in art matters and serves as a spokespersons group for art matters in the City. We are responsible for keeping the Mayor and City Council informed on art-related matters. The Commission is responsible for encouraging and aiding programs for cultural enrichment of Normandy Park citizens, and  coordinating and strengthening existing organizations in the field of art.

National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) I am the Advisory Board of NIVA, created to assist in preserving and nurturing the ecosystem of independent live venues and promoters throughout the United States.

American Red Cross: In the aftermath of 9/11, I completed the Introduction to Disaster Services course. Every 8 minutes the American Red Cross responds to an emergency.

The Center School’s mission is to empower and inspire all students to positively impact our world. They provide a high-quality arts integrated college prep curriculum and an academic program that prepares all students for continuing educational pursuits or post-secondary employment.

Chebeague Recreation Center provides the Chebeague Island community with recreational and educational opportunities that strengthen overall health and social connection to enhance lives and secure futures. 

Earshot Jazz Society of Seattle cultivates a vibrant jazz community to ensure the legacy and progression of the art form by engaging audiences, celebrating artists, and supporting arts education.

Food Lifeline provides food to more than 300 food banks, shelters, and meal programs across Western Washington.

Jazz Foundation of America: Changes in the music industry have left many behind including underground legends, session players and even the big names themselves. When age, illness, or disaster threatens a long career, many have nowhere to turn. These musicians have been saving us with their music our entire lives. These are dignified people who never think to ask for help. Our lifesaving programs turn despair into hope.

Kubota Garden Foundation is a non-profit corporation established in 1989 to support, enhance, and perpetuate the Kubota Garden within the spirit and vision of Fujitaro Kubota and his son Tom Kubota.

Northwest Community Bail Fund provides cash bail for marginalized people charged with crimes who are unable to afford bail and find themselves.

Owsley Stanley Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of “Bear’s Sonic Journals,” Owsley’s archive of more than 1,300 live concert soundboard recordings from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, including recordings by Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, and more than 80 other artists across nearly every musical idiom. These analog reel-to-reel recordings are nearing the end of their expected shelf lives and will deteriorate and be lost forever if they are not preserved.

South Hudson Music Project develops, promotes and presents innovative musical collaborations crossing boundaries of genre, culture, generation, and neighborhood in order to strengthen and engage our community.

Teentix exists to break down the barriers that prevent teens from accessing art in our community, such as ticket or admission cost, not knowing where to look for events, navigating transportation around the city, and feeling insecure around arts-going if there's no one in their lives already championing the arts.
